Authentic Connection Workshop

Group discussions, sharing, creative exercises, writing, art, drama & movement!

Do you ever wonder that life could be more meaningful and fulfilling if we weren't conditioned to refrain from being our true selves? If only we could just let go of the invisible forces holding us back and express ourselves more authentically to connect with other human beings on a deeper level!

In my authentic connection workshop I encourage us all to open up a little to vulnerability, to embrace authenticity, and connect with others empathically. Every workshop is different and guided by the vibe and everyone taking part on the day.

We might start by sitting in a circle and introducing ourselves to each other. I might then introduce themes (varies every session) to talk about in the big group and in smaller groups; small creative exercises, for example writing a couple of lines of poetry on a particular idea or making a small drawing to represent some aspect of our lives; authentic movement exercises in the room or some small drama exercises in small groups; storytelling; any of the above and/ or other activities that might seem good to try on the day.

I may also invite others in the group to lead parts of the workshop! This is especially the case if we might wish to try an exercise or activity that I do not have much knowledge or experience of but someone else in the room might. I aim for all of us to share the experience of the session collectively in a spirit of co-operation.

We work in a safe, non-judgemental and inclusive space. Everyone has freedom to work within their comfort levels but is encouraged to step a bit beyond this to facilitate their own personal growth journey. I feel elated when everyone feels they have benefited from the workshop and leaves in a better state of psyche than when they arrived!
